Near Ear is a listening layer for real places. Scan a code on a wall and a local voice tells you what you are looking at: the mural, the harbour, the ruin, the pub.

The stories come from the people who know them. Local historians, artists talking about their own work, librarians, whoever holds the story. A curator in each town keeps things accurate and kind.

No app, no account, no tracking. Every stop has a transcript, and the whole thing works on an old phone with one bar of signal.
